NOTE: Scammers are scamming, which is news to no one, but a recent round of AI scams involves unsolicited emails or DMs purportedly from well-known authors, usually to other authors, including highly specific praise/feedback about the recipient’s work. I’ve been both the recipient of these bogus messages and the purported sender. Please be aware that if you receive an out-of-the-blue email from “me,” this is almost certainly a scam.
